It is too weird he uses screws to hold wood.
The wood I was cutting didn't matter if it had screw holes. If it did matter I would've used clamps. Thanks for watching.
It actually helped me out 😅✌️. Was thinking about doing partial natural wood sign post flatten two sides and have bark on outsides lol
Great news! 😃
This is exactly what I was looking to do with some cherry tree wood branches I had with my table saw. Great video.
Great, glad to help. Are you going to make a similar jig?
@@MrGeoffreySmith Yes. I was going to make a side table with a mixture of cherry branches, then staining, then combing epoxy resins. I thought your idea of making the jig with a sled was much better than what I finding as you have holding points on multiple areas and the runoff gets cut.
A proper functional restoration. Not like those other restobation videos, that are only done for the sake of internet points. How sharp are the blades after using just the flappy disk? I find that using a hand file gives a sharper edge than what I can achieve with a grinder. Sharp enough for a garden tool at least.
Sharp enough for a garden tool is exactly right. It's going to be hacking at twigs and bush, not slicing garlic 😂 I think 'restobation' is the best word I've heard all year! 😂 thanks for watching 😊
A nice case right there! I see some ideas to steal right there (plywood never occurred to me as a material for such a case, but what you made looks really convincing!). Now I will also be nitpicking a bit, since you made it looking like 90% pro, except there's this grey paint leaking along the closing edge. IMHO nothing gray should be visible when it's closed. There's a ton of seals, rubber strips and other fixtures (usually automotive stuff) that could be used for that edge to make it more presentable - just a suggestion tho. All right, I'll just go fetch some plywood now, thanks again :)
I didn't care about the grey paint because its a toolbox. It's already getting scratches on it from bouncing around in the back of the van. It'll be bashed up in no time. All I care about is that its strong. Hope yours works out good and that you have fun making it 😀
Now that's a handyman sized EDC...C!
Solid too 😅
Nice work Geoff 👍🏻
Cheers. No chance of this one falling to bits 😁
Best way to dispose of that old wood, saves soil too. Looks good Geoff
I did the same with the small one we took to my mother-in-laws and I still had a load left over 🤣
I cant figure out how to get the handle on the thing
Do you mean turn the handle?
Open toed shoes is crazy
Easiest job of the week :)
Yep, a matter of sticky moments 😁
Slick. Floor next? ;)
I doing the whole house at the moment. New kitchen, New bathroom, repare stairs, paint throughout etc, then the carpet guys arrive.
Sorted, You've got to love modern glues and fillers 🍺 👍 😊
The grip stuff makes quick tidy work out of most jobs 😀
The grip stuff makes quick tidy work out of most jobs 😃
Could you please send the link to buy this
That's a top job Geoff
Cheers! A simple one which makes a huge difference 😃
Sorted 🔨👍😊
Yep, just the rest of the house to be done now 🤣
Greetings fellow bed slat enthusiast! That's some _pine_ recycling right there 😂
The puns are coming in thick and fast! If only I had a box to put them in....🤣
Not wasting my time where the content creator is either unwilling or unable to speak and articulate their process.
Those turned out Great Mr G 🔨👍😊
Cheers! Still got toys everywhere though 🤣🤣
I love bed slats I’ve made so many things out of them I can’t believe people throw them away. Good to see you Geoff hope you’re going in may 👍🏻
I can't believe that I will do this by myself 😅
There is no reason why you can't do it. If you can afford to buy the materials, buy them and start. Im sure you'll do a fine job. 😀
@MrGeoffreySmith yes I bought everything and Im going to use the same underlay that was below the carpet. Seems to be in good shape. Thank you.
@@lumonteirouk Great. Using the same underlay will save you some time and money. I hope it goes well 😀
I don't think I've ever seen you so flustered before. Lego stress. 😂
I know, right! I had to play with some technic to calm down 🤣🤣
Shoulda named it the Stickenbacker
There's something in the works I've called exactly that 🤣
Next time, use a cloth when tightening chrome bath taps to avoid scratching it. Yes, i know, you did mention that it's not five star standard, but it's not much effort from you to give a good finish. The UK standard is really poor, especially on council or rental properties. Proper taking the piss.
Agreed.
What kind of blade is that? Would a multitool be ok for plastic
Sure. Even a hand saw would do.
Thanks so much but….you owe me £17.99 😊
A small price to pay 🤣🤣
🛠👍😊
I wanted more Lego shaking at the end 🤣🤣🤣 Now your going to have to put out a short of just Lego shaking
Aye aye captain! 🤣
@@MrGeoffreySmith 😀😉
It's been a bathroom kinda month for you Geoff. Those panels do look good, but I wish they printed them to be seamless with the marbling :P
Its how the job is. Itll be kitchens next 😆 the panels are just random, which is annoying.
Absolutely disgusting design 😢😢😢👎👎
Cheers! 😀
Those panels look good Mr G, I will take a look at those for an en-suit I need to do in the future 🛠👍😊
There's loads of different styles. They go up quick too.
And if I cock one up I haven't ruined an entire 8 x 4 sheet 👍 👍
Also as this had to pass hmo building and fire regs would i have to fit thicker door frames?
Most HMOs Ive worked on have standard door frames.
Thanks for the demo. I have 6 to fit in an old victorian terraced house in london. Although i have done them before i have no idea how much to charge per door labour only? Also due to weight would a second person be needed? Some doors going up to 2 nd floor
They are heavier than normal doors. Having a second person depends on you and the price.
What type of adhesive was used with tiles in the bathtub area? Thanks.
It was a standard contact adhesive from Screwfix. About £2.50 each in the UK.
Never seen it before, but he doesn't give a shit if it falls off in a year or two, I guess.
@@YeahNoTellTheTruth it hasn't failed yet. Adhesives have come on leaps and bounds in the past few years. Took me a while to trust it too, being so used to trad methods.
That will do Geoff. Solid job👍
Cheers! Those walls were a bit of a challenge 😀
Good work mate 👌🏼👍🏼
That bath is going nowhere 🤣
@@MrGeoffreySmith I would love to watch the next guy that comes along to try and remove it 🤣🤣🤣
@Crackers8 you know it'll probably be end up being me 🤣🤣
Here we go :) evening setup
You have short evenings 🤣
That's my father ❤
Wow! He sounded great! 😀
Wadding or liquid which is best
I prefer the liquid. The wadding is ok but the liquid seems to last longer.
I've cracked the solution for your task by thoroughly reviewing your social media presence, including a deep dive into your UA-cam channel. Your UA-cam content has certainly left an impression on me. However, to truly propel your channel to viral status, some key enhancements are necessary, with SEO being at the forefront. Several other aspects could use some fine-tuning as well. If you're interested, I can take charge of optimizing your channel's SEO and executing strategies to boost video promotion.
I'm wanting to work on a 480 Guitar and I'm new to a lot of woodworking. Your video is giving me the courage to go ahead with the scarf join haha
Thats great to hear! Thanks! Just draw the line and cut it. Try it out on some scrap pieces first, if you're worried 😀
Good work, but you better use a protection mask with all that moisture, that can be really toxic.
look's good, reminds me of my remodel. I would have put the tiles starting on top of the bath as I have had issues before with when the silicon fails.
That is a solid bath. Good recycling score though!
If it didn't have rust and cracked enamel I would've worked around it, but it had to go 😀
Now that's what u call thinking on your feet
I was kneeling down though....🤣
@@MrGeoffreySmith 🤣🤣
Quite the transformation, good job.
People are living there now, so it worked out well in the end 😀
Hell is right. Creosote was common in the day. The narrow ass baths and doors and kitchens y'all have befuddle me. And im not fat lol
This is an older house. Houses in the UK tend to be smaller than in other countries because of land value. The UK is smaller than many other countries.
@@MrGeoffreySmith Oh I know Geoff. As a 'merican I just like to winge. A lot 🤣
Are you sure you're not English then? 🤣🤣
@@MrGeoffreySmith More Irish... the only thing I would queue up for is a pint. Or 5.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Oh dear... get a different bath?
Or just close the door before I fit it 🤣
What did this poor bath do to deserve such a sad death 😭🤣
It dared to have scrap value 🤣
Im here im here lol. Yep i atatted watching and must have got distracted but im definitely here now :D
Please call your absence manager 🤣
